Hi there! I became a member in 2007 when my company relocated me to Pittsburgh and I found the Burgh Bears. They elected me to the Treasurer position for 2009, which has been a fun challenge transforming it from chequebook keeper to a full-fledged accounting and CFO position.
My partner Hugh is also a member. Both he and I have been together since 1995. We both love to entertain (potlucks).
I'm into reading (Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Horror, Mystery, Literature), role-playing games like D&D, technology, home improvement (my best birthday present ever was a nail gun), theology and anthropology and linguistics (my partner will tell you not to get me started). Anything else you want to know you'll need to ask ;-)
The Burgh Bears are very important to me, giving me that warm community I needed when I had uprooted from my former community in Cincinnati where I'd been for almost 20 years.
